FOXBITE Pro Holder Artifact: Painting Miniatures, Busts and Small Parts
A full miniature, a separate head and a bust need different ways of holding them while you paint. The Pro Holder Artifact lets you change the mount and the handle size to suit the piece you're working on.

You can use a short handle for a small figure or stack more sections together for a larger grip. The round and hex bases, mounting pins, cork base and alligator clip give you different ways to hold a model or a loose part.
Painting a miniature on its base
Use tacky putty to attach the miniature's base to a round or hex wooden base. You hold the handle rather than the figure and turn the miniature as you paint.

That helps when moving between the front and back of a model, or changing the brush angle for an edge highlight. Instead of reaching around the sculpt, turn the base so the area you're painting faces you.
If you work on several miniatures, extra compatible bases let you keep them mounted between sessions.
Painting heads, arms and weapons separately
Painting parts before assembly can make it easier to reach areas that would be blocked by a shield, weapon or another part of the model. The mount depends on the part.
A pinned head can sit in the cork base. The alligator clip gives you another way to hold a loose part, using an attachment point rather than gripping a visible painted surface. The mounting pins give you more options for separate pieces.

Set the part at an angle where you can see the detail and reach it with the brush. For a face, that might mean changing the angle between painting the eyes, cheeks and underside of the chin.
Working on a bust
For busts and larger pieces, the Pro Holder has a 4 mm smooth rod with a hex shank. The handle sections stack together if you want a longer grip.

The grip you use for a small tabletop figure may not feel right for a bust. Change the handle length to suit the way you hold the piece, and check the mount before painting.
Using the wire stabilizer
The wire stabilizer gives your painting hand another contact point. You can mount it in different positions and move the finger rest to match your grip.

We use it for eyes, faces, edge highlights and freehand. Rest your hand against the support, then position the model so the wire doesn't block your brush. When you move to another area, turn the miniature or adjust the support.
You don't need the same setup for basecoating a cloak and painting a pupil. Use the parts that help with the job you're doing.
Using it with the Original Holder
The Pro Holder Artifact is compatible with the Original FOXBITE Holder Artifact. Compatible bases can be used between them.

The Original is still a good option if you prefer a smaller, simpler painting handle. The Pro adds more grip and mounting options. We're keeping both in the same system.
